I hope everyone is prepared for the exciting 2018-2019 school year and ministry calendar! A lot of good things will be coming around the bend. I first want to take the time to announce the Middle School Nova Nights that will take place throughout the year. 6th, 7th, and 8th graders of any background or school are most welcome to join!
For those of you who don’t know, Nova Night is a youth program that has been growing increasingly over the past several years. For two hours, our middle schoolers will participate in games, listen to talks, build new friendships, and learn more about our faith (while giving high fives, fist bumps, and having a ton of fun along the way). Nova Night takes place every 3rd Sunday of the month from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at the Saints Peter and Paul Church Center.
If you’d like to join this year, feel free to register online at tinyurl.com/novarocks. Here you will see instructions for registry, upcoming events, and additional details regarding Nova. Outside of our monthly meetings referenced above, there will be additional service and community building opportunities throughout the year. Stay tuned for those details!
So if you’re a returning Nova student, I can’t wait to welcome you back, and if you have never been to Nova before, you’re absolutely welcome and encouraged to come and join in on the fun! Also, if you’re a parent or an adult who wants to volunteer and get involved with this age group, feel free to reach out to me and we’ll see how we can get you plugged in!
Finally, if you’re in high school and would like to be plugged in to the community, meet some new people, and sink deeper into your faith, stay tuned for further updates. I will be beginning high school ministries set to launch this fall!
Any other questions, comments, or suggestions are absolutely welcome! You can reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
