East Side Child & Youth Ministry (ESCYM) is the collaborative religious education program of four parishes on the east side of Milwaukee (Our Lady of Divine Providence, Saints Peter & Paul, Three Holy Women, and The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist). It was formed in 1986 to provide religious education to young people.

ESCYM serves grades K-12 and offers the following programs and services:

Christian Initiation Program for children
Resources for families
Social activities for youth
Family enrichment activities

We are accepting registrations for the 2017-18 school year, including the sacramental preparation programs of First Communion, First Reconciliation and Confirmation. To enroll in the Confirmation program, a teen must be at least 16 years old and a junior or senior in high school. Please call ESCYM at 414-962-3776 for information.

Catechists – We are looking for new catechists for classes beginning in September. Perhaps God is calling you to this rewarding ministry. We begin in late September and go through mid-May. We follow the school calendar with time off at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Catechists will be provided materials and support for teaching. We also offer formation opportunities at various times during the year.
